FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE NOVEMBER 19, 2019

Marvin Leventhal, Chief Heart Officer & Creator of FH2A, an online art gallery, is proud to announce that FH2A will be exhibiting live at the Home Design and Remodeling Show at the Greater Fort Lauderdale Broward County Convention Center, booth 1121-1122, located at 1950 Eisenhower Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316 on November 22-24, 2019.

FromHeart2Art.com launched last month to sell original fine art Paintings, Sculpture and Photographs online. Leventhal states, “Giving a portion of the proceeds from every FH2A sale will benefit local non-profit organizations. Raising money for those in need is the cornerstone on which FH2A was built. Since we are still in our launch phase, we are attending industry shows to introduce our works, and for the community to meet the artists who will be in attendance.”

FromHeart2Art began by jurying established and emerging artists and photographers. With about 5 artists, the chemistry within the troupe at FH2A began to grow. Their love of what they do is palpable and thus, the idea of calling themselves the FromHeart2Art Collective solidified their commitment to create art as a vehicle for social responsibility . This may sound like a fairy tale, but Leventhal’s heart and mind provide the energy and nurturing space for the collective to succeed.

The artists, who created the eclectic collection of sculptures, will also display for sale their large-scale paintings, which provide the perfect backdrop for the sculptures. The photography, eclectic in its own right, complements the puckish sculptures. Perfect pieces for home or office. FH2A also sells high end leather accessories based on their designs. For more information and to see FH2A’s catalog, please visit their website, www.fromheart2art.com or you may email Marvin Leventhal at iloveart@fromheart2art.com

Our office is located at: 433 Plaza Real, Suite 275, Boca Raton, FL 33432.

An Artist Haikus*
by
Karen R. Kaplowitz
October 7, 2019

Haiku is a form of poetry that comes from the ancient Japanese and was adapted in the early 19th century by the English. The correct form is Haiku – singular. For example, the art of Haiku. Never pluralize it.

It’s form is in 3 lines. The first and last line must be 5 syllables. The second line must be seven. The third line must be a twist or random funny thought generated by the serious setup of lines 1 and 2.

*In this case, think of “Haikus” in the title as a verb meaning to write Haiku

Love a blank canvas
A world of inspiration
Submit some ideas.

Haiku is so hard
Don’t use fancy names for hues
Crayola names work.

I love pianos
Their tenor, tone and pedals.
Where is my lost snake?

Dust filters inside
The large loft filled with color
Any maids like paint?

Creativity
Mine’s not appreciated
Bitcoins are the way.

Visual arts may
Show insight of the artist
Rembrandt? He my bae.*

*This is What ‘

Bae

‘ Means. … The short answer: Though this word was used in the 1500s to refer to

sheep sounds, today bae is used as a term of endearment, often referring to your boyfriend or girlfriend. Or perhaps a prospect who might one day hold such a lofty position.

An Artist Haikus (continued)

A black and white life
May not be open to thought
Except sage zebras.

Rainbows fill with awe
Most people on the planet
My state’s are lethal.**

I will leave Haiku
To the masters of the art
Should stay in my lane.

**New Jersey

5 steps to create a Relaxing Space at Home https://fromheart2art.com/5-steps-to-create-a-relaxing-space-at-home/ Mon, 18 Nov 2019 16:45:33 +0000 https://fromheart2art.com/?p=5079 The post 5 steps to create a Relaxing Space at Home appeared first on Fromheart2art.

]]>

In today’s world we find ourselves so over stimulated and have our minds go through so many things every day it is getting harder to find real peace and quiet. I don’t know about you, but I always got the feeling I had to escape somewhere away from everything and go to a cabin in the middle of nowhere to find some peace.

Well, I really hope I could pack up and go to that quiet place anytime I wanted to but #reallife and kids and work and stuff make it less of a possibility and more of a genie in the lamp type dream ( anyone else obsessed with the new Aladdin movie?). So, I got to thinking how I could find that peace without having to “go” anywhere and go back to what home used to be, a place to reconnect and find some peace. The answer was staring at me, make a Private Retreat at home!

In order to do that, I made a list of 5 steps to follow and make sure this space becomes the best it can be for you:

1. Go on a Pinterest 1 hour binge

Yes, I confess I am a Pinterest addict when it comes to the first or “Dream it” phase. It is such a pleasure to get lost on those beautiful images and start dreaming of what that special place could be. Why the time limit? well because I don’t know about you but I could spend 5 days straight browsing through outfits and makeup and funny cat memes.

Start by creating a board that will only hold those dream retreat spaces. Call it whatever you like, but make it something that sounds great to you. Mine was called Sweet Escape (yup I’m a 90’s girl J)

Some keywords to try : relaxing spaces, cozy corner, relax home or checkout my Relaxing Spaces Pinterest Mood Boar

2. Find the perfect Spot

Ok now it’s time to come back to earth and see which spot or room in your house could become that special relaxing retreat. It can be anything from a corner in your living room to your bedroom, it can even be your balcony (if the weather allows).

It’s important to make sure this space has at least 2 of these:

-Natural light

-A noise shield from the rest of the house (more important if you have little ones)

-Don’t have anything in it that stresses you out when you see it (anything from a family calendar to a wall that needs fixing or a squeaky chair).

– A comfortable level of light (for this case better less than more)

Lastly, and please don’t underestimate this part, before picking go and actually stand in the spot or room you think may be the one and take a few breaths and make sure you feel good in that space ( I could really get into all the woo woo stuff I strongly believe in but that’s a whole other blog or 100) for now just trust me on that!!

3. Create your Own Mood board

Ok after all that dreaming and finding the place it’s time to get to planning, so for this step you need to find any tool that lets you put pictures on a white sheet, or you can always print and put on a cork board if you want. I recommend Canva, it is such a great resource and really easy to use.

The point is to add to this blank sheet of paper all those things you pinned (or chose from any source) that can actually work in your space both size and budget wise. I mean we all would love a pond with the big Japanese fish with the coins in the bottom, but I think that unless you have a big house and you’re looking to remodel that won’t be a realistic option… but a cute little fountain like the one below may do the trick!

4. Trust your Inner Designer

Ok if I generally stress how important it is for your space to feel good to you first, for this one it actually ONLY needs to feel good to you (and a little to your SO if you share a room and you picked the bedroom). You know yourself best and the only award you should want to win in it is the “chilliest human alive prize” or if you prefer “Zen Master”.

So, do you like dark colors? Go right at it. Love Crystals (don’t we all?) just buy a couple, or maybe you’re the minimalist kind and would be happy with a soft rug and throw pillows and a bookshelf.

Remember this space is meant to make you feel good, relaxed and at peace with yourself. You have the wisdom within yourself, you can do it! And if you need reinforcement I am here for you!

5. Get to work ASAP

This seems obvious but after a ton of soul searching I have found it is the most difficult step, at least for me. We dream and we plan but when it comes to the actual buy do phase… we start making S**T out of why we should hold on or wait until (fill in the blank with your excuse), So my point? Don’t. Just use the momentum and energy you feel after doing points 1-4 and just do it girl! Even if its buying that one candle or crystal.

To help you out, I have actually added a checklist for you to download reminding yourself of these steps and giving you a list of 25 things that you could bring into your Relax Space, how about that!!

Before I say goodbye, I really want you to stop for a minute and think how important it is for yourself and your loved ones to give from a full glass and have that space to go to that connects you with yourself, you little cabin in the woods, but right at home.

Marvin Leventhal, of Boca Raton, Florida, and Chief Heart Officer & Creator of fromheart2art.com, an online art gallery, had been working as a professional in streaming media services and sales for the last 35 years.

Always charitable, Marvin had been thinking of a way to raise funds to donate to various non-profits. He took a leap of faith; left his job, and took his germ of an idea with him. It came to fruition last week with FH2A’s website launch and participation in the juried Artists and Charities Hand in Hand Fine Art Show at the Palm Beach Convention Center, November 2-3, 2019.

Why an art show? Marvin’s idea was to sell original artworks by jurying established and emerging artists and photographers. With about 5 artists, FH2A began to sprout, and along the way, the various artists had such great chemistry, they came up with the idea of calling themselves the FromHeart2Art Collective. It may sound like a fairy tale, but it is no wonder that this family came to be. Marvin defines his title as Chief Heart Officer, befitting his manner. He is naturally warm and approachable, and he is highly intuitive when it comes to finding and nurturing his troupe.

Explains Leventhal, “Although we are an online gallery, it was a wonderful experience to be in the Hand in Hand Art Show which aligns with our Mission Statement. By donating a portion of the proceeds of every sale to a worthy nonprofit, our presence at the show raised over $120 for St. Jude’s Children’sHospital. We raffled one of our sculptures, Urban Wagz and the winner was Linda Kirsch of Boynton Beach, Florida.

The same artists who created the sculptures also displayed for sale their large scale paintings, the perfect backdrop for the sculptures. The photography, too, was as eclectic as the paintings and complemented the puckish sculptures.

FH2A also sells high end leather accessories and jewelry based on their designs. For more information and to see FH2A’s catalog, please visit their website at www.fromheart2art.com

The Test of Time https://fromheart2art.com/3544-2/ Thu, 24 Oct 2019 16:06:16 +0000 https://fromheart2art.com/?p=3544 The post The Test of Time appeared first on Fromheart2art.

]]>

My husband and I had a very large collection of music: vinyl, CDs, and cassettes, which we eventually sold when we reached the age of downsizing. It was an eclectic collection encompassing almost every genre of music. We started collecting individually before we merged in marriage. When we married, it was then that we really took the leap and we merged our respective albums into a marriage of music.

Before we sold our albums, we decided to listen to our old vinyl. What we discovered was that some passed “the test of time” while others did not. The failures made us laugh hysterically and scream, “What were we thinking when we bought THAT?” Probably The Mudd Club. The same was true for our CD’s.

The technology by which we collect and listen to music has changed. We now download our music from the internet, and I listen with Bluetooth technology and at times, Alexa (but she gives me some Big Brother anxiety that everything I say is sent out through the universe). And when I select a tune to download, many times I’ll consult my 30-year-daughter to follow what’s trending, and then I select what I like.

Similarly, we gave our home decor “the test of time”. Most of our objets d’art did last over the years while some did not. But instead of laughing hysterically, we giggled at our proverbial chia pet failures. Surprisingly, this “test of time” elicited wistful memories about where we were in our lives: demographically, emotionally, etc. We knew their stories. We had agreed early on in our collecting that we both had to love the piece; if not, there was no debate to convince the other to change his or her mind. It was out of the running.

Fast forward 30+ years and our first collected piece (although not the most valuable in terms of dollars spent) is one of my favorites. A 1989 vase by Mary Lou Higgins. And home decor is now under my purview. When I’m purchasing a piece of art online, I often think, “Thank you to those who have created galleries which sell online. Brilliant! Bravo!” Just for the record, I would never say bravo out loud unless the late Luciano Pavarotti was performing just for me in my living room. With AI, that could happen, couldn’t it?!

I also have an unwavering personal art credo. I do not like art that is precariously hanging from the wall containing metal or any other medium that could potentially maim me. But that’s just me.

Glance around your home or office. Can you spot pieces you feel have passed or failed the “test of time” experiment? I’m not talking about inherited items, but things you bought because of its unique appeal to you.

I’d love to hear your “test of time” experiences. Please share your stories in the comments section.

Press Release

FromHeart2Art.com announces the launch of its online gallery, which coincides with its public debut at the Artists and Charities Hand-in-Hand Fine Art Show at the Palm Beach County Convention Center, Booth #74, November 2-3, 2019.

FromHeart2Art.com sells art for home and office decor, with a mission to heal the world by donating to social causes and supporting emerging artists. The e-commerce gallery features videos of the artists and their work. The gallery sells original sculptures, paintings, and photographs while the boutique offers prints, jewelry, and luxury leather goods.

“We offer a fantastic customer experience,” said Marvin Leventhal, Chief Heart Officer. Leventhal, who has been involved in streaming media services since their inception and sales for 35 years, wanted to fulfill his objective of social responsibility. In the newest chapter of his career, Leventhal explains, “I want to do something that is meaningful and fun. I’m a techie; I never dreamed I would enter the art market with so much support from our collective and the artist community at large.”

Not only does Leventhal feel passionate about the intrinsic value of giving, but he has also secured an alliance with Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida to include a project in January 2020, within the visual arts curriculum. Ten of the most promising fine arts students will paint sculptures that will be featured on the site; their sales will benefit NSU’s Art Foundation.

Marvin’s au courant style reflects the same qualities as his pieces: colorful and unusual, playful and vibrant. The collective hearts of his artists are palpable.

The Artists and Charities Hand-in-Hand event will provide perfect visibility to the public; the FromHeart2Art.com gallery will be selling online and across popular social media platforms.

For more information about the event at the Palm Beach County Convention Center head over to their website: https://artistsandcharities.com

The Pantone Color of the Year a.k.a In Living Color* https://fromheart2art.com/the-pantone-color-of-the-year-a-k-a-in-living-color/ Thu, 24 Oct 2019 15:49:33 +0000 https://fromheart2art.com/?p=3525 The post The Pantone Color of the Year a.k.a In Living Color* appeared first on Fromheart2art.

]]>

At the outset, I feel the need to explain that as a photographer, Pantone helps me a great deal with color prints. Yet the Pantone Color of the Year always makes me laugh on the inside. The purpose of this “Tada” color marketing moment is to set the zeitgeist for the coming year. And individuals in fields such as graphic design, home design, or your third cousin who has always been told she should have been a home decorator (or was it a home decimator?) buy into it because it is commercially trending and corporate clients may want in on a color trend. It even has an acronym that I learned while reading about the business of color, (COTY). It also reminds me of an IG meme. Maybe Pantone should/or has already created some.

What makes something/someone trending? Dare I say, “on fleek”? I just need to digress a moment so I may share with you how I talk to myself. A caveat: There’s a lot more I say on the inside. If you’re curious, leave a comment below.

I’ve designated the acronym, “Laughing on the Inside”, from now on as “LOTI”, and my other stroke of genius acronym, “LAM”, which means “Laughing at Myself”. I’m on the LAM right now. My first acronym (which I did not invent) in school was, “A RAT IN TOM’S HOUSE MIGHT EAT TOM’S ICE CREAM.” It was used to remember how to spell arithmetic. I don’t know of any person who still uses the word arithmetic instead of its progeny, math…which, by the way, I could’ve sounded out while learning how to read my papyrus.

Back to the COTY. The first COTY was Cerulean, an artistic way of describing a blue sky. I have actually used it in a sentence when I knew the person to whom I was speaking would probably know its meaning. The COTY awards have been giving colors a chance to compete for 20 yrs now. In school, courses in adulthood or colorhood should be mainstream so that you’re prepared for the realization that life’s a bitch unless you’re on top.

The COTY makes me think of Toddlers and Tiaras LOTI; young color swatches inappropriately strutting their stuff in sash-clad gowns (of course in their hue) in front of grown creepy men and women. Their stiff paper hair reeking of hairspray, overly done makeup in hues of their own tone, and the talent show, which consists of origami-ing oneself.

So, the next time you’re worried about the color of your throw pillows, Kitchenaid Mixmaster, or need to know this for conversational purposes at a bar, think about what those brave little paper coated squares had to go through to make it to the big time of COTY.

A quote from Google read, “Neo-Mint is the COTY for 2020, and evolves from the popularity of soft pastels, established by Millennial Pink.”

Huh?!?!

Lots of LAM AND LOTI.

My final thought, “there must be a lot of people who love LAM with mint.”

*Shout out to the Wayans Brothers and JLo

”Does it Spark Joy?”…Marie Kondo

Fromheart2art’s new collection of fine home decor is not your grandmother’s Lladro. FH2A’s new line of one of a kind table top sculptures are meant to be fun and whimsical, as each piece is crafted by selected artists and speak to the soul on many levels. Animals, human forms, fruits, abstracts and more are painted in the style and mind of the artists who paint them. They may also be commissioned to your vision.

Personally, I believe that people who collect things or have other hobbies that they are passionate about are very interesting people. My friend collects small Elephants (trunks up, of course, for good luck). Another collects Pandas. I collect Guilloche. Why? I enjoy the process of the hunt, and It makes me feel happy. I think my fellow collectors feel the same.

When I first saw FH2A’s line, I felt that one piece would fit perfectly in my living room. Then I saw another piece and thought, “dining room.” The further I delved into the collection, in my mind’s eye, more and more pieces were filling every nook and cranny of my home. That’s when I thought, “when I can afford to purchase several of the pieces that took my breath away (what I call an aerobic moment), I could purchase these object d’arts and even group them together as a collection. And then the word “community” popped into my head, as people who enjoy collecting, buying, trading or selling FH2A’s signature style.

Who knows? If the first comic book collector was considered eccentric, then call me crazy about Fromheart2art!

I was born with perfect pitch and was always interested in the science of sound. I knew intuitively that somehow vibrations of tone related to the color spectrum. The clues to figuring this out began with learning about the rainbow in school. I was told that colors are visible because they vibrate at different wavelengths, just as the lengths of piano strings create their unique vibrations and produce different tones.

I wanted to see the visual colors of music to create paintings but couldn’t figure out how. What could different genres of music create on a canvas?

While doing some research I came across a TedTalk2012 about a color-blind man named Neil Harbisson who wanted to see color. To put this simply, he worked with scientists and others in the field of AI. What they designed was a Cyborg Eye. He was implanted with an internal chip in the back of his head and an external sensor coming out of his head and placed in front of him which detects the frequency of a color placed in front of the sensor. The chip converts the colors into sound waves which correspond to a musical note. These sound waves travel through the skull using bone conduction and arrive at Harbisson’s auditory system.

For example, he gave his TedTalk in pink, turquoise and yellow because he wanted to wear C Major.

Synesthesia is a neurological condition in some people in which different senses combine in unusual ways. An example of synesthesia is chromesthesia, i.e., hearing sounds in different colors. Surprisingly, chromesthesia is more likely to appear in individuals with perfect pitch.

If you would like to know what your environment, art, or significant other sounds like in song, head over to Neil Harbisson’s Chart of the Sound of Colors and the story of his Cyborg transition in the Huffington Post at https://www.huffpost.com/entry/hearing-color-cyborg-tedtalk_b_3654445
